President Droupadi Murmu will confer the prestigious Swachh Survekshan 2024–25 awards on July 17, 2025, recognizing India’s cleanest cities and municipalities across various categories. This year’s awards will honour 78 winners across four major categories, acknowledging exemplary performance in urban cleanliness, waste management, and citizen-centric sanitation efforts.

The 2024–25 edition of Swachh Survekshan witnessed an unprecedented participation of over 14 crore citizens, reflecting the growing public commitment toward the goals of the Swachh Bharat Mission – Urban. The assessment was based on a smart, structured framework consisting of 10 well-defined parameters, designed to evaluate both cleanliness outcomes and service delivery quality.

Cities competed in categories including population segments, zone-wise performance, citizen feedback, and innovation in sanitation practices. The awards aim to drive a competitive spirit among urban local bodies while encouraging sustained civic engagement and innovation.

As the nation moves toward achieving higher sanitation standards, Swachh Survekshan continues to be a critical benchmark in India’s cleanliness journey.
