Four teenage girls from Ghaziabad turned a simple thought into Pahal, a sustainability startup that’s now making real noise. During an entrepreneurship camp, they noticed how casually plastic was being used everywhere - and decided to act instead of complain.
They began small: replacing plastic spoons in their school canteen with wooden ones and designing durable cotton tote bags people would actually reuse. The journey wasn’t smooth. Manufacturers ignored their small orders, exams clashed with meetings, and many doubted if teens could run a business.
Then came the turning point. At a school event, they put up 100 eco-friendly tote bags for sale. Every single one sold out - faster than expected.
What started as a school idea is now a growing movement. Pahal proves that meaningful change doesn’t need age, money, or permission - just the courage to take the first step against plastic pollution.
