When Surya Uthkarsha’s car toppled five times on a Karnataka highway, he was just a child. Six airbags saved his family - but the fear stayed. Instead of forgetting it, he turned it into a mission.
Today, the Bengaluru teen leads The Marg Initiative, a youth-driven road safety movement reaching over 50,000 people across India. From school workshops and orphanage sessions to marathons and digital campaigns, his focus is simple - teach children road safety early.
But he didn’t stop there. He built Roadyz, a mobile game that rewards safe road behaviour, making learning fun and memorable. The game has already attracted investor interest and was shortlisted for Shark Tank India.
Backed by Bengaluru Traffic Police and supported by 25 volunteers, Surya is proving one thing - age doesn’t define impact. Awareness started early can save thousands of lives.
