You know that feeling when you’re starving but also too lazy to cook a full meal? Like you want something good… but not something that takes effort, planning, or 20 ingredients you don’t even have. Not the boring kind, the kind you can actually make in minutes, with stuff already lying around your kitchen.
So here are 5 snacks that actually make sense when you’re low on energy but still want something satisfying:
1. Cheesy Bread Toast
Ingredients: Bread, butter, cheese, chilli flakes (optional)
Steps:
- Spread butter on the bread
- Add cheese on top
- Sprinkle chilli flakes
- Toast on a pan or in the oven till the cheese melts
2. Kurkure Chaat
Ingredients: Kurkure packet, onion, tomato, lemon, salt, chaat masala, coriander, green chilis and red chili powder
Steps:
- Mix Kurkure with chopped onion, tomato, coriander and green chilis
- Add salt, chaat masala, and red chili powder
- Squeeze lemon
- Mix and eat
3. Banana Peanut Butter Toast
Ingredients: Bread, peanut butter, banana
Steps:
- Toast bread
- Spread peanut butter
- Add sliced banana on top
4. Curd Bowl (Sweet or Savoury)
Ingredients: Curd, sugar or salt, fruits or spices
Steps:
- Take curd in a bowl
- Add sugar + fruits (sweet) OR salt + spices (savoury)
- Mix and eat
5. Roti Roll (Leftover Hack)
Ingredients: Leftover roti, ketchup/mayo, veggies or cheese
Steps:
- Spread sauce on roti
- Add whatever filling you have
- Roll it up and heat slightly
At the end of the day, it’s not about cooking something “perfect.” It’s about knowing you can still eat something decent… even on your laziest days.
And once you get used to these, you’ll realise, you were making life harder than it needed to be.
