Gurugram content creator Harjas Sethi has come forward alleging she was assaulted and intimidated after feeding and vaccinating stray dogs in her former society, G‑99, Sector 99. She posted on Instagram that more than 50 residents verbally abused her and physically attacked her outside her society gate .

Sethi said she bore the expense of feeding and vaccinating roughly 14 malnourished community dogs from November to June. However, complaints from neighbours escalated, pressuring her landlord to evict her. After moving out on June 7, she hired domestic help to continue caring for the dogs - until July 1, when she was barred from entering the society .

On July 4, Sethi alleges a mob forcibly seized her phone, physically assaulted her, and later she faced harassment at Dhankot Police Chowki, where officers confiscated her keys and phone and verbally abused her . She claims the inaction of both residents and police has left her traumatised and in fear for her safety.

Investigations are ongoing. Sethi has called for an impartial inquiry and requested that the two officers - ASI Vijender and SI Vinod - be excluded due to alleged misconduct.
