Before your next purchase… read this or regret later!

Most people don’t realize this-but as a consumer in India, you have more power than you think.

Every time you buy a product or service, you are protected by certain rights. Yet, many people ignore them or simply don’t know they exist. One of the most important is the right to safety, which ensures that the products you use are safe and won’t harm you.

Then comes the right to be informed. This means brands must clearly tell you about ingredients, pricing, risks, and expiry dates. No hidden details, no misleading claims.

You also have the right to choose, meaning you shouldn’t be forced into buying a specific brand or product. Fair competition matters.

If something goes wrong, there’s the right to be heard and the right to seek redressal. Whether it’s a faulty product or poor service, you can file complaints and demand compensation.

Another powerful right is consumer education-you have the right to know your rights and make informed decisions.

In today’s world of online shopping, fake discounts, and misleading ads, these rights matter more than ever. But rights only work when you use them.

Because at the end of the day, an aware consumer is the strongest one.
