The 2025 Bihar Assembly election — held across 243 seats and split into two phases (Phase 1 on November 6 covering 121 seats; Phase 2 on November 11 covering 122 seats) — will reach its decisive moment on Thursday, November 14when vote-counting begins. The counting process will determine which alliance forms the next government in this politically significant state, where power dynamics have grown increasingly fluid.
On counting day, polling officials will transport Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter-Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips from all booths to designated strong-rooms, under tight supervision. Media and party agents will monitor proceedings, and real-time trends will be published by the Election Commission of India (ECI). As votes are tallied, the alliance or party that secures the majority threshold—122 seats—will stake claim to lead the state government.
Observers view the results as a test of current alliances, leadership and voter sentiment ahead of upcoming national polls. With results day set, all eyes will turn to Bihar’s counting halls, where the state’s political trajectory for the coming term will be unveiled.
