In today’s hyper-connected world, many still feel deeply lonely-especially in big cities like Delhi and Bengaluru. Two women, Meghna Chaudhury and Sukanya, decided to tackle this urban solitude in the most heartwarming way: by opening their homes to strangers seeking quiet company and shared moments without the pressure of small talk.
Meghna, a 36-year-old in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, started a “No Agenda” space for women and queer individuals-where conversation isn’t expected and presence is enough. No networking, no small talk-just peaceful coexistence. Her idea resonated with many who felt overwhelmed by social expectations.
Meanwhile, Sukanya’s space in South Delhi is a cultural cocoon. Inspired by traditional drawing room gatherings, she hosts baithaks featuring Indian classical music for fellow artists and performers. Think supper club-but for soulful tunes and real connections.
These spaces aren’t just rooms-they are havens for people who need a break from the noise. In a world obsessed with likes and followers, Meghna and Sukanya offer something rare: presence, peace, and quiet belonging.
