How India became a global capital for plastic surgery!

India is not only known for yoga, Ayurveda, and spirituality, but today it is also gaining fame as a global hub for plastic surgery. From nose jobs (rhinoplasty) to liposuction, people from around the world are flying to India—not for tourism, but for transformation.

According to the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), India now ranks among the top ten countries for cosmetic procedures and is in the top three for rhinoplasty and liposuction. The growth has been massive. In fact, the Indian aesthetic surgery market, valued at $4.2 billion in 2023, is expected to nearly triple by 2030.

What makes India attractive? The answer is affordable costs, skilled doctors, and world-class hospitals located close to hubs like Bollywood in Mumbai. For many patients, India offers the same quality of treatment as the West, but at a much lower price.

From the ancient surgeon Sushruta, known as the “father of plastic surgery,” to today’s modern clinics, India has come a long way. The country is transforming into a beauty capital, where tradition meets technology.
