The Meghalaya honeymoon murder case has deepened with the emergence of Jitendra Raghuvanshi, a cousin and employee of Sonam Raghuvanshi’s family business, whose account was allegedly used to pay hitmen for Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder. Sonam, her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha, and three others: Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi face eight day police custody after their arrests. Sonam’s brother Govind Raghuvanshi claims Jitendra’s account held family funds for routine transactions, denying hawala link allegations. Govind, convinced of Sonam’s guilt after a brief confrontation, has cut ties with her and vowed to support Raja’s family.

Govind’s emotional visit to Raja’s family in Indore underscored his belief in Sonam’s involvement, citing her suspicious reactions. The Meghalaya Police are probing deeper, with plans to reconstruct the crime scene. As new evidence, including a bloodstained machete, unravels, the case continues to grip the nation, raising questions about motive and betrayal.
