The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has revealed that the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) meticulously compiled detailed hit lists targeting over 950 individuals, including a former district judge in Kerala, political activists, and RSS leaders. These lists—prepared by PFI’s covert "Reporters Wing"—contained personal data like names, photos, addresses, and daily routines, seized during raids across multiple locations.
According to court documents presented in the NIA Special Court in Ernakulam, the hit lists formed a central part of PFI’s alleged ‘India 2047’ conspiracy, which aimed to establish Islamic rule in India and dismantle democratic institutions. Suspicious links to violent incidents emerged, including the April 2022 murder of RSS leader K. S. Sreenivasan in Palakkad, which the NIA believes was coordinated under this broader plot.
Evidence included personal details: 240 names found with accused Sirajudheen, 197 names on a pen drive of approver Muhammed Sadik, and lists of over 500 people from absconder Ayoob T. A. Additionally, a list naming five people—among them a former district judge—was discovered at PFI’s Periyar Valley arms‑training campus in Aluva, which was seized in 2022.
Bail pleas for four accused local leaders were denied, with the court citing strong evidence under the UAPA.
