On July 29, 2025, the Lok Sabha is set for a high-voltage session as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi are expected to deliver critical statements during the ongoing debate on Operation Sindoor, India’s counter-terror response to the Pahalgam attack.
Amit Shah is scheduled to speak between 12 and 1 PM, expected to defend the government’s response while launching a scathing attack on the Congress. He has accused the Opposition of placing more faith in foreign voices—such as Donald Trump—than in India’s own External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar.
PM Modi is likely to conclude the debate with a statement around 5 PM, reinforcing India's national security stance and rallying political unity. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition leaders are preparing to question the government’s preparedness, intelligence lapses, and post-attack strategy.
The debate is being closely watched, as it could shape public and political sentiment on cross-border terrorism and national security strategy.
