A unique spiritual journey is now giving people a chance to relive the story of Lord Rama—this time on a train. Indian Railways has introduced a 17-day tour that traces the path of the Ramayana, connecting key destinations from Ayodhya to Rameshwaram.
The journey starts from Delhi and covers several important places linked to Lord Rama’s life. It includes Ayodhya, where he was born, along with Janakpur, Sitamarhi, Varanasi, and Prayagraj. These locations hold deep religious and cultural significance.
The route also takes travellers through places connected to Rama’s exile, such as Chitrakoot, Nashik, and Hampi. The journey finally ends at Rameshwaram, home to the sacred Ramanathaswamy Temple, where Lord Rama is believed to have worshipped Lord Shiva.
This train offers more than just travel. With comfortable coaches, meals, and guided tours, it is designed to make the experience smooth and meaningful.
Blending spirituality, history, and comfort, this journey allows people to connect deeply with the Ramayana while exploring some of India’s most sacred destinations.
