In today’s nonstop digital age, a digital detox - a break from screens and online engagement - can feel both essential and overwhelming. Common challenges include separation anxiety, fear of missing out (FOMO), disrupted routines, and boredom without habitual scrolling. Yet facing these challenges is key to regaining focus and mental clarity.

Start small: schedule brief daily "unplug" windows, like no-phone meals or a screen-free hour before bed. Gradually extend these patches. To cushion the discomfort, fill the time with engaging analog activities - reading, journaling, creative hobbies, or walks - to rewire your reward system away from instant notifications.

Enlist social support -detox with friends or colleagues to keep each other accountable. And be gentle: it's okay to slip up. Reflect on how reduced screen time affects mood, creativity, and focus.
