Cricket's biggest Rivalry returns: Asia Cup to host India vs Pakistan!

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC), led by Chairman and PCB head Mohsin Naqvi, officially confirmed that the Men’s Asia Cup 2025 will be held in the United Arab Emirates from September 9 to 28.

According to initial schedules obtained by media, the high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan is set for September 14 at the Dubai International Stadium. Both teams are placed in Group A, alongside UAE and Oman.

If both teams advance through the Super Four stage, there’s the possibility of them meeting again on September 21, and potentially in the final on September 28, making it a possible three-match showdown.

The tournament format includes two groups of four teams, a single Super Four stage, and then the final match, totalling 19 T20I matches. Participating nations include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong.

Despite diplomatic tensions preventing bilateral series on home soil, the Asia Cup will proceed at a neutral venue, with India hosting in designation only. This arrangement aligns with recent ACC rules allowing India and Pakistan to compete exclusively at neutral venues until at least 2027.

Fans can expect thrilling cricket ahead as teams gear up for the continental showdown and India looks to defend its 2023 title.
