India’s top study abroad choice has finally changed!

Indian students are rewriting the global education map! In just one quarter of 2025, over 15,000 Indians grabbed UK study visas—a jaw-dropping 44% surge from last year.

This makes India the largest source of international students for Britain, almost double the next biggest country. What’s more? With a 96% visa approval rate, Indian applicants are the most trusted and sought-after by UK universities.

The UK overall issued more than 56,000 visas this quarter, but with stricter checks—refusal rates have now tripled to 9%. Still, Indian students are beating the odds, using Britain’s career-focused courses, global recognition, and post-study work opportunities as their launchpad to success.

And it’s not just India—South Asia is rising too. Nepal saw the sharpest growth, issuing nearly four times more visas than in 2024.

From struggling in 2024 to dominating in 2025, Indian students have turned the UK into their new academic capital.
