As winter inches closer, Delhi-NCR is forecasted to experience the coldest night of October 2025, with the minimum temperature potentially dropping to 16 °C, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
While Delhi’s nights grow chillier, adjacent areas like Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad may see lows ranging from 18 °C to 19 °C. The daytime is expected to remain mild and sunny, but light fog could settle across the region in early morning hours.
Meteorologists warn that night winds of ~10 km/h could amplify the chill, making outdoors feel colder than readings suggest. The forecast comes amid warnings of worsening air quality, with pollution levels already in the “poor” range and likely to deepen due to cooler, stagnant air.
Residents are advised to bundle up, limit exposure in late hours, and keep an eye on weather updates as Delhi readies for a stark contrast between warm days and cold nights.
