The India Art Fair (IAF) 2025, scheduled from February 6 to 9 at the NSIC Exhibition Grounds in New Delhi, marks its 16th edition as the largest to date. This year's fair features 78 galleries and 28 non-profit organizations, reflecting India's growing prominence in the global art market.
A notable addition to this year's fair is the launch of a major prize for textile artists, valued up to $35,000. This initiative underscores the fair's commitment to supporting diverse artistic expressions and fostering innovation within the art community.
The fair's design section has been expanded, building upon India's rich craft traditions. This expansion aims to bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, offering a platform for artists and designers to showcase innovative works that blend heritage with modern aesthetics.
In addition to the New Delhi event, the India Art Fair organizers are set to launch a new contemporary art and design fair in Mumbai from November 13 to 16, 2025. This expansion reflects the organizers' dedication to promoting South Asian art and design on a broader scale.
The India Art Fair 2025 continues to serve as a vital platform for artists, galleries, and art enthusiasts, fostering dialogue and collaboration within the art community. Its growth and diversification highlight the dynamic nature of the South Asian art scene and its increasing influence on the global stage.
