In a relief for businesses, oil marketing companies have slashed the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹24, effective June 1, 2025. This reduction will benefit hotels, restaurants, and commercial establishments that heavily rely on LPG for daily operations.
The revised prices in major cities are as follows:
-
Delhi: ₹1,723.50
-
Kolkata: ₹1,826
-
Mumbai: ₹1,674.50
-
Chennai: ₹1,881
This marks the third consecutive monthly reduction, following a ₹14.50 cut in May and ₹41 in April. However, the price of domestic LPG cylinders remains unchanged, with the last ₹50 hike occurring in March due to rising global crude oil prices.
LPG prices vary across states due to local taxes and transportation costs. Price revisions are done monthly by IOC, BPCL, and HPCL, based on international benchmark fuel rates and foreign exchange fluctuations. This modest cut offers some financial breather to the commercial sector.
