Visakhapatnam's culinary scene is embracing the summer season by transforming local fruits into gourmet delights. Restaurants across the city are innovatively incorporating seasonal produce like mangoes, jackfruit, and ice apples into their menus, offering a refreshing twist to traditional dishes.

Mangoes, the quintessential summer fruit, are being featured in a variety of creative dishes. From mango chicken biryani and mango sushi to Bengal-inspired aam kasundi fish with steamed rice, chefs are exploring diverse culinary avenues. Even unconventional items like mango pizza, pasta, nachos with mango salsa, and mango French toast are making appearances. Beverages haven't been left behind, with offerings like mango coconut lattes and mango Boba tea gaining popularity.

Ice apples, locally known as tati munjulu, are being transformed into desserts such as kheer, panna cotta, ice cream, and even pancakes. Jackfruit is also taking center stage in dishes like jackfruit biryani, tacos, ice cream, and halwa.

Restaurant owner Kalyan Vasudev emphasizes the importance of adapting menus based on customer preferences and leveraging social media to showcase these innovative dishes. He notes that during different seasons, customer demands vary, prompting them to introduce items like mango Boba tea, mango pizza, and mango sandwiches to cater to evolving tastes.
