Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa stunned world No. 1 Magnus Carlsen at the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour in Las Vegas, defeating the Norwegian in 39 moves during their Round 4 match.

The 19-year-old Indian's victory completed a remarkable sweep across all chess formats against Carlsen, having previously beaten him in Classical, Rapid, and Blitz formats. The game was played in a 10-minute plus 10-second increment format.

Carlsen's loss knocked him out of title contention, finishing tied fourth in Group White and losing a playoff to Levon Aronian. Praggnanandhaa holds joint leadership in Group White with 4.5 points alongside Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Javokhir Sindarov, advancing to the knockout quarterfinals scheduled for Thursday.
