Praggnanandhaa crashes out of title race but hopes for India still alive!

Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi defeated Uzbekistan's Nodirbek Abdusattorov 1.5-0.5 to advance to the semifinals of the $750,000 Freestyle Grand Slam Tour, while R Praggnanandhaa was eliminated after losing 3-4 to USA's Fabiano Caruana.
Arjun dominated both games against Abdusattorov, winning material early in the second game and overpowering his opponent. The Indian will face Levon Aronian in the semifinals, while Hans Moke Niemann takes on Caruana.
Praggnanandhaa fought valiantly in a seven-game thriller against Caruana, leading on three occasions before succumbing in the decisive seventh game. However, he remains in contention through the lower bracket.
In other results, world number one Magnus Carlsen defeated India's Vidit Gujrathi 2-0 in the lower bracket.
