Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has appointed Priya Nair as Managing Director and CEO, replacing Rohit Jawa who steps down on July 31 to pursue new opportunities. Nair's five-year tenure runs from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2030, subject to shareholder and statutory approvals.

A 30-year HUL veteran since 1995, Nair previously led the company's €12 billion Beauty & Wellbeing division. Her career highlights include heading Home Care (2014-2020) and Beauty & Personal Care (2020-2022) divisions, where she successfully transformed business portfolios and drove turnarounds.

Chairman Nitin Paranjpe praised Nair's "outstanding career" and deep market understanding. Nair will also join the company board and continue as a Unilever Leadership Executive member, positioning HUL for its next growth phase.
