Amit Shah Hits Back: Pakistani IDs, Rifles, Chocolates - all proof of Cross-Border Terror!

During the Lok Sabha’s Operation Sindoor debate on July 29, Home Minister Amit Shah forcefully rebutted Congress leader P. Chidambaram, who had previously questioned whether the Pahalgam terror attackers were foreign operatives. Shah declared: “We have proof”—citing Pakistani voter ID cards, rifles, and chocolate wrappers labeled “Made in Pakistan” recovered during Operation Mahadev, which neutralized the three terrorists associated with the April 22 Pahalgam massacre.

Shah condemned Chidambaram's suggestion that the killers might be “homegrown,” calling it tantamount to giving a clean chit to Pakistan. He challenged why the Opposition would accept foreign commentary over domestic intelligence, recalling Chidambaram’s remarks on Twitter that misused selective quotes from his interview.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi backed Shah, asserting that “people don’t need proof” as Pakistan’s involvement is proven by TRF’s own initial claim and its UN defence. Meanwhile, families of the victims demanded martyr status and criticized political leaders - including Chidambaram - for politicizing the tragedy instead of honoring victims like Shubham Dwivedi
