Parliament monsoon Session LIVE: Amit Shah accuses Congress of shielding pak!

On Day 7 of the Monsoon Session (July 29, 2025), Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the Lok Sabha during a heated debate on Operation Sindoor, denouncing former Home Minister P. Chidambaram for questioning the involvement of Pakistan in the Pahalgam terror attack. Shah asserted that Chidambaram’s skepticism amounted to giving a “clean chit to Pakistan”, stating: “When he asks for proof that the attackers came from Pakistan, he is protecting Pakistan”.

Shah emphasized India has concrete evidence - including Pakistani voter ID cards, rifles, and chocolates made in Pakistan—to confirm the terrorists’ nationality. He also criticized Congress for lending credence to foreign narratives over those of India's own ministers, especially External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, saying, “they trust others more than India's own ministers” .

In the same session, Shah recounted his emotional meeting with the victims' families, condemned the brutality of the Pahalgam massacre, and affirmed the success of Operation Mahadev, in which three A-grade Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were neutralized.
