With Delhi Assembly elections scheduled for February 5, the North-West Delhi District Election Office has begun distributing Voter Information Slips (VIS) to eligible voters. This initiative ensures that every voter is informed about their enrolment and polling details ahead of election day.
District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Ankita Anand confirmed that the VIS distribution drive has been launched to make the voting process seamless. “Our teams are working tirelessly to ensure no eligible voter is left uninformed. These slips provide vital information, including voter names, polling station details, and more,” she said.
To further enhance the voter experience, the Election Office has introduced a colour-coding system for polling booths. The initiative aims to help voters easily locate their designated polling stations. Anand added, “Colour coding will eliminate confusion, making it simpler for citizens to find their polling stations without hassle.”
Election officials are visiting every household in the district to distribute the VIS, ensuring no voter is overlooked. Citizens are encouraged to review their slips and verify details to avoid any issues on polling day.
The District Election Office is committed to ensuring a smooth, transparent election process. With 70 assembly seats up for grabs, the elections are expected to see robust voter participation.
The votes will be counted on February 8, determining the next Delhi government. Voters are urged to check their VIS promptly and make the most of the Election Office’s streamlined measures for a hassle-free experience.
