The Padma Awards 2025 recognized 139 exceptional individuals for their contributions across diverse fields, including seven Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri honorees. The awards honor excellence in arts, science, public service, and more, showcasing India's talent and commitment to nation-building.

Among the Padma Vibhushan recipients are Osamu Suzuki, the late Suzuki Motor Corporation chairman who transformed India's automotive industry, and former Chief Justice of India J S Khehar, known for landmark judgments like the triple talaq verdict. Other honorees include folk singer Sharda Sinha (posthumous), gastroenterologist Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, Malayalam writer M T Vasudevan Nair, violinist L Subramaniam, and Kathak dancer Kumudini Lakhia.

The Padma Bhushan awardees include economist Bibek Debroy, Tamil actor Ajith Kumar, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, and Indian hockey goalkeeper P R Sreejesh, among others. These individuals have distinguished themselves in their respective fields, contributing significantly to the nation's growth and cultural heritage.

Padma Shri honorees include 100-year-old Libia Lobo Sardesai, a voice for Goa's liberation, and Sally Holkar, who revived the Maheshwari handloom industry. Paralympian Harvinder Singh, India's first para archer to win a Paralympic gold, was also recognized for his achievements.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the awards as a platform to honor unsung heroes who empower communities, while Home Minister Amit Shah described the awards as a symbol of India's zest for progress and nation-building.
