Vinod Kambli, the former Indian cricketer known for his talent and charisma, recently revealed a series of health challenges he faced last month. The 52-year-old suffered a severe urinary infection, which required treatment at three different hospitals. Additionally, Kambli endured two heart attacks while driving his car, prompting immediate medical intervention at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.

In an emotional interview with Vickey Lalwani on YouTube, Kambli credited his wife Andrea Hewitt and their children, Jesus and his daughter, for standing by him during this critical time. He recounted how his daughter helped him when he felt disoriented, urging him to seek medical attention immediately.

Kambli clarified that his health issues were not linked to smoking or alcohol, as he had quit these habits over six months ago. Despite this, he remains committed to addressing his past struggles with alcohol addiction. Encouraged by cricket legend Kapil Dev, Kambli expressed his willingness to undergo alcohol rehabilitation for the 15th time, emphasizing the importance of his family’s support in this journey.

Former teammate Ajay Jadeja also visited Kambli at his home, offering encouragement during his recovery. Kambli expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from his family and friends, which has been instrumental in helping him navigate these challenges.

As Kambli continues to recover, his determination and his family’s steadfast support highlight his resilience and his hope for a healthier future.
