RCB's New Era Begins: Rajat Patidar to Lead in IPL 2025!

In an exciting development for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the franchise has appointed Rajat Patidar as the captain for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. The 31-year-old batter from Madhya Pradesh takes over from Faf du Plessis, who led the team for the past three seasons and guided them to the playoffs twice.

Patidar’s journey with RCB has been nothing short of remarkable. After making a dramatic return to the IPL in 2022 as a mid-season replacement for Luvnith Sisodia, Patidar became an overnight sensation with a match-winning 112* off just 54 balls in the Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants. His stunning knock not only led RCB to victory but also cemented his place as a key figure in their lineup.

Though injury sidelined him for the 2023 season, Patidar returned in 2024 with a vengeance, producing one of the most destructive seasons in IPL history. He hammered 33 sixes, amassing a total of 395 runs in 15 matches and became an integral part of RCB's aggressive brand of cricket.

With his explosive batting and leadership potential, Patidar is set to lead RCB with a fresh, exciting energy in IPL 2025. Fans and experts alike are eager to see how the young captain takes on the challenge, as RCB aims for its first-ever IPL title under his leadership.
