In the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, actor Suniel Shetty has called for unity and fearlessness. Speaking at the Lata Deenanath Mageshkar Award 2025 ceremony, he urged Indians to plan their next holiday in Kashmir to boost tourism and defy terrorists. “Kashmir was ours, is ours, and will always remain ours,” he declared, emphasizing that citizens must resist hatred and fear. Shetty has contacted authorities, expressing readiness to visit Kashmir as a tourist or artist. The attack, targeting tourists at Baisaran meadow, prompted a Central government all-party meeting to address the security crisis.

Shetty's message aligns with widespread condemnation of the attack, including from Muslim bodies and celebrities like Hina Khan. As India grapples with the aftermath, Shetty's call aims to reclaim Kashmir's spirit through unity and resilience.
