'Everything was burning… I just ran!' - Ahmedabad crash's only survivor recalls terrifying escape.

Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a 40-year-old British-Indian, is the sole survivor of the devastating Air India crash in Ahmedabad on June 12. From his hospital bed, he emotionally recounted how he crawled out of the broken fuselage, stunned and injured, surrounded by debris and bodies.
He described the terrifying sequence: "Thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly," and later said, "I don’t know how I exited the plane".

Ramesh sustained multiple injuries to his chest, eyes, and feet but is reported to be stable - no longer in danger, according to doctors at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital. He relayed that he stood up, ran from the wreckage, and managed to reach an ambulance .
A British national of Indian origin, Ramesh was seated in 11A - an emergency-exit row - and his proximity to the exit likely played a crucial role in his survival. His story - miraculous and haunting - provides a glimmer of hope amid this national tragedy, where all other 241 passengers and crew tragically perished. Investigation into the crash continues.
