Tata breaks silence: Shocked statement from India's top conglomerate after Air India crash!

Tata Group chairman N. Chandrasekaran released an emotional statement today after Air India Flight AI171, bound for London Gatwick, tragically crashed soon after takeoff from Ahmedabad on June 12 . "With profound sorrow I confirm that Air India Flight 171… was involved in a tragic accident today. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the families and loved ones of all those affected…" he said, offering sympathy to victims' families.
He further announced that an emergency centre has been activated, alongside specialized support teams to assist families with information and aid. "At this moment, our primary focus is on supporting all the affected people and their families" , Chandrasekaran added . Air India also confirmed it is "ascertaining the details" - in collaboration with DGCA and rescue agencies - as investigations begin .
This response comes amid nationwide shock, with the airline’s parent conglomerate undertaking swift measures to help those on board and prevent further distress. As authorities investigate the cause and relief efforts continue, Tata’s commitment to support indicates a proactive response in the hour of crisis.
