Fort Aguada

Constructed in 1612, Fort Aguada stands as a testament to Goa's colonial past. Perched on the Sinquerim Beach, it was built to defend against Dutch and Maratha invasions. The fort's massive walls and bastions offer panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. Inside, a 17th-century lighthouse adds to its historical charm.

Basilica of Bom Jesus

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Basilica of Bom Jesus is renowned for its baroque architecture and houses the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. Built between 1594 and 1605, it stands as a symbol of Goa's Portuguese influence and religious heritage.

Fontainhas

Fontainhas, Panaji's Latin Quarter, is a vibrant neighborhood that showcases Goa's Portuguese heritage. Characterized by narrow winding streets, colorful houses, and old villas, it offers a glimpse into the state's colonial architecture and culture.

Goa Chitra Museum

Located in Benaulim, the Goa Chitra Museum is an ethnographic museum that houses over 4,000 artifacts focusing on Goa's traditional agrarian technology and lifestyle. Established in 2009, it provides insights into the state's rural heritage and craftsmanship.

Se Cathedral

The Se Cathedral, dedicated to St. Catherine, is one of the largest churches in Asia. Built between 1562 and 1619, it is a prime example of Portuguese-Gothic architecture and reflects the religious history of Goa.

Chapel of Our Lady of the Mount

Situated atop a hill in Old Goa, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Mount was built between 1510 and 1519. It offers panoramic views of the Mandovi River and is known for its Baroque architecture.

Reis Magos Fort

Built in 1551, Reis Magos Fort served as a defense structure and residence for Portuguese Viceroys. Recently restored, it now functions as a cultural center, housing exhibitions and events that highlight Goa's history and heritage.
