Online food delivery major Zomato has launched a fresh campaign spotlighting the spirit of hustle and determination, featuring four icons from varied fields: Shah Rukh Khan (cinema), A.R. Rahman (music), Jasprit Bumrah (cricket), and Mary Kom (boxing). Unlike typical brand ads, this film does not focus on food delivery. Instead, it draws inspiration from these personalities’ relentless journeys, aiming to inspire individuals to push forward .
The campaign video weaves together each star’s story - from Khan’s relentless grind in Bollywood, Rahman’s rise from humble beginnings, Bumrah’s focus on mastering his craft, to Mary Kom’s fight for recognition. Zomato uses their narratives as a metaphor for its own growth and as a powerful motivational message for customers and delivery partners alike .
Zomato’s CEO described the film as “this isn’t an ad”, emphasizing that it’s a celebration of perseverance over brand promotion. By aligning with these national icons, the platform aims to reinforce its commitment to celebrating everyday grit and ambition, invoking emotional resonance over commercial appeal .
