Art of Yoga: Healthy or Demonic?

The term Yoga has its meaning from it's origins as "being yoked or joined in" and it was originated by who's named as Adiyogi or first Yogi, Lord Shiva. Yoga have been an appropriate and important practice in daily lives of a person with it's benefits to calm one's mind, improve body conditions, and connect one's consciousness to that of God's since ancient times.

However, with the invasion of Muslim rulers and British government, ancient Indian culture have been misinterpreted and rather have been replaced with Western culture which includes Western education, glorification of cruel invaders, suppression of revolutionary nationalists, etc. However, with the rise of Hare Krishna Movement thanks to founder of ISCKON committee Shri Prabhupada, Western people are now aware of beauty of Sanatan Dharma and hence are also practicing many practices, including Yoga.

However, with the decline of Christianity in Western Countries since 1970's, the conservatives are insecure of rise of paganism (non-Christian practices) and atheism in past few decades, and thus they try tarnishing the pagan rituals which includes zodiac signs, yoga, etc. with them deeming Yoga as "satanic ritual which opens demonic realm". However, with average income of a Yoga teacher in Western countries being $65,000, people have been witnessing the benefits of Yoga by themselves.
