Instagram has unveiled Restyle, a powerful new video editing feature powered by generative AI. This cutting-edge tool, inspired by Meta’s Movie Gen model, allows users to transform 10-second videos with more than 50 creative presets - from changing backgrounds to switching outfits or adjusting lighting.

Currently available on Meta AI platforms like Edits, the Meta AI app, and the Meta.AI website, Restyle enables users to experiment with different styles for free (for a limited time). Whether you want to set your clip in a fantasy world or give yourself a cartoon makeover, the tool does it in seconds.

Soon to be fully integrated into Instagram, Restyle promises to make video editing more creative, accessible, and fun. Users can upload clips, select an effect, and directly share on Instagram, Facebook, or Discover.

Meta confirmed this is just the beginning: later this year, users will be able to edit videos with text prompts, opening up endless possibilities for storytelling and content creation.
