Massive rush in Jammu as devotees flock for Amarnath yatra registration!

With just days to go for the start of the Amarnath Yatra, thousands of enthusiastic pilgrims have begun thronging registration centres in Jammu, eager to embark on the sacred journey to the holy cave shrine. The 38-day annual pilgrimage is scheduled to begin on July 3, via the Nunwan-Pahalgam (48 km) and the Baltal (14 km) routes in Kashmir.

Despite the sweltering heat and long queues, spirits remain high among the yatris, who see the pilgrimage as a deeply spiritual experience. The Baltal route is shorter but steeper, preferred by younger devotees, while the traditional Pahalgam track offers a scenic, gradual ascent.

Authorities have tightened security arrangements, set up medical camps, and deployed thousands of personnel to ensure a smooth and safe yatra. RFID tags, GPS tracking, and helpline support have been integrated to monitor movement and respond to emergencies.

With record registrations expected this year, Jammu has turned into a buzzing base camp as faith, fervour, and logistics come together for one of India’s most revered pilgrimages.
