Indian Railways has launched 'RailOne', a comprehensive super app consolidating all railway services into one platform. The app integrates ticket booking, PNR tracking, train status, coach position, Rail Madad, and travel feedback features.
Key features include single-sign-on capability, R-Wallet functionality, and compatibility with existing RailConnect credentials. Users can access services through biometric login or numeric mPIN, reducing the need for multiple railway apps.
This launch coincides with major ticketing reforms: chart preparation moving to eight hours before departure, verified-user-only Tatkal bookings from July 1st, and enhanced reservation systems by December 2025. The upgraded infrastructure will handle 150,000 reservations per minute, addressing current IRCTC app reliability issues during peak booking periods.
