Nita mukesh ambani centre brings India’s devotion to life!

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), housed at Mumbai’s Jio World Centre, is currently presenting Bhakti: Krishna’s Grace an immersive, multi-floor exhibit exploring the transformative power of devotion to Krishna and Vishnu. Curated by Ashvin E. Rajagopalan, the show invites visitors to journey through pan-Indian spiritual narratives shaped by art, architecture, literature, and performance.

The experience commences with Vishnu’s Dream, a specially commissioned piece that anchors the exhibit’s cosmological vision. Audiences then pass through evolving spaces from early dwelling forms to a reconstructed Tamil Nadu temple visually tracing devotional traditions through time.

The Crafts Village offers animated continuity to these traditions, with master artisans showcasing devotional techniques live. Over 40 rare artworks and sculptures some displayed publicly for the very first time highlight diverse devotional expressions through painting, performance, and material culture.

Echoing deeper layers, the exhibit features narrative-rich works like Pattachitra scrolls, Radha–Krishna miniatures, Tanjore-style relief paintings, and thoughtfully recreated temple shrines spanning India, each evoking personal connections to Krishna devotion.

Rooted in faith and artistry alike, Bhakti: Krishna’s Grace serves as both a cultural pilgrimage and a moment of introspection reminding us that devotion is not static but perpetually evolving.
