Selfies Are Out - Live Wedding Paintings Are the New Trend!

Move over selfie booths - Indian weddings now have a new showstopper, live painting! Instead of relying solely on photos, many families are now hiring artists to paint special moments live during the ceremony.

Like Subhashini R, who wanted to gift her brother something unforgettable. She hired a live painter to capture the wedding - and even included their pet dog in the canvas, making it truly unique.

Artists like Varshitha and Vivek (@satyavarshi), and Anna Jovita from Kerala, are leading this trend. Their work starts hours before the ceremony as they sketch the background, and during key moments, they snap pictures and paint live.

Charges range between ₹15,000 and ₹25,000, and the artwork becomes a cherished keepsake. With celebrities like Prajakta Koli joining the trend, live wedding painting is turning into a booming art business in India.
