Shubman Gill calls Edgbaston win one of his 'happiest memories'!

Following India’s emphatic Test victory at Edgbaston, captain Shubman Gill called the win one of his “happiest memories,” adding that he’ll carry it with him long after retirement. Gill, who has now scored three centuries in his last four innings as skipper, praised his team for stepping up under pressure.

In a heartfelt dressing room speech shared by the BCCI, Gill said the players took full responsibility for their individual performances and delivered when it mattered most. “We showed character, and everyone contributed - it wasn’t just one player,” he said, applauding the all-round team effort.

India’s win came with Gill leading from the front, scoring centuries in both innings and commanding the field with maturity well beyond his age. His calm leadership and match-winning consistency have drawn praise from both fans and former players.

With this victory, Gill is fast solidifying his legacy - not just as a batting talent, but as a reliable leader. And for him, Edgbaston 2025 will remain a memory to cherish forever.
