Bengaluru Youth Abducted, Assaulted Over Obscene Text; Attackers Refer to Darshan Case!

In a disturbing incident in Bengaluru, a 24-year-old man was abducted and brutally assaulted by a group of individuals after he allegedly sent an inappropriate message to a woman on Instagram. The victim was reportedly taken from Kodigehalli to Vasanth Nagar, where he was tied up and thrashed by the assailants.

During the attack, the group is said to have referenced the high-profile Darshan murder case, warning the victim and justifying their actions as a deterrent against such behavior. This reference has raised concerns about the rise of vigilante actions influenced by media coverage of criminal cases.

The Bengaluru police have registered a case of kidnapping and assault and are investigating the matter. Some suspects have already been taken into custody. The incident highlights growing tensions surrounding online behavior and how it is increasingly leading to violent offline consequences.
