Never Drink Coffee With These 6 Foods!

Coffee is love, but love needs boundaries. That comforting cup of caffeine that wakes you up may turn into a digestive disaster if paired with the wrong foods.

First, spicy food is a big no. It can turn your coffee into an acid bomb, thanks to increased stomach acid production. Next, citrus fruits and coffee, both being acidic, may team up to give you heartburn or bloating.

Processed cheese and coffee? Just don’t. The emulsifiers clash with coffee’s natural bitterness. Yogurt, too, may sound like a healthy combo, but it can upset your gut and leave a weird aftertaste. Mint, often consumed after brushing, completely kills coffee’s flavor with its cool, numbing effect. And surprisingly, even red meat isn’t a great match. The combo is heavy on your stomach and dulls the coffee’s taste.

The fix? Pair your coffee with toast, nuts, mild Indian breakfast items like idli, or a simple poha. Be mindful-coffee deserves better company.
