Vijay Deverakonda's 'Kingdom' skips Hindi release: Here's why!

Telugu superstar Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film Kingdom has opted out of a Hindi theatrical release, sparking curiosity among fans nationwide. According to the latest reports, the producers have taken a calculated decision to skip the Hindi version in cinemas and instead focus on a direct digital release strategy for non-Telugu audiences.

The move stems from a combination of market research insights and the current performance of dubbed films in Hindi circuits, which haven't been yielding expected returns for mid-budget productions. Instead of investing heavily in a full-fledged Hindi release, the makers plan to leverage OTT platforms to reach Hindi-speaking audiences more efficiently.

Vijay Deverakonda, known for his pan-India appeal post Arjun Reddy and Liger, is still expected to make a significant impact with Kingdom via streaming. Industry watchers believe that this approach reflects a growing shift in distribution strategies, especially for regional films aiming at broader reach without theatrical risks.

Fans can expect Kingdom to be available in Hindi shortly after its Telugu release, but only online.
