The logic works like this: as bones grow and remodel, they don’t simply accumulate mineral; they need a framework (collagen) that allows flexibility and resilience. When collagen production or stability falls, bones may become brittle even if they appear dense. Research supports this: lower vitamin C levels are associated with higher risk of osteoporosis and fractures.
