Alvida Jumma, also known as Jumu'atul-Wida, is the last Friday of Ramadan. The word "Alvida" means farewell, and "Jumma" means Friday. It is a very special day for Muslims around the world because it marks the end of the holy month of fasting and worship.
On this day, mosques are filled with worshippers offering special Jumma prayers. People listen to inspiring sermons about the importance of prayer, charity, and kindness. Many spend time reading the Quran, making duas (supplications), and seeking forgiveness from Allah.
A big part of Alvida Jumma is giving charity. Muslims donate money, food, and clothes to the poor, believing that good deeds in Ramadan bring greater rewards. Families also start preparing for Eid-ul-Fitr, the festival that follows Ramadan.
The day is emotional for many because it is a farewell to Ramadan, a month of blessings. However, it is also a reminder to continue praying, helping others, and being kind even after Ramadan ends.
Alvida Jumma is not just a farewell to Ramadan, but a chance to carry its blessings and teachings into everyday life.
