A tragic accident in Chhattisgarh’s Kabirdham district claimed the lives of five workers on Friday (July 11, 2025), after a borewell drilling truck veered off the road and plunged into a ravine. According to the police, four other individuals were injured in the incident and are currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.

The truck was reportedly transporting the workers and equipment when the driver lost control near a hilly stretch. The vehicle rolled into a small gorge, causing severe damage and trapping those onboard. Local authorities and emergency teams were rushed to the spot to initiate rescue operations.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed, and police are working with local officials to notify families. A probe into the cause of the accident is underway, and initial reports suggest brake failure or poor road conditions may have contributed.
