Abu Dhabi ranked world’s safest city in 2025, says global report!

Abu Dhabi has once again claimed the title of the world’s safest city in 2025, topping Numbeo’s mid-year Safety Index by City out of 279 cities. With a score of 88.8, it marks the ninth consecutive year the UAE capital has secured the top spot. Meanwhile, the UAE also ranks as the second safest country in the world, just behind the European nation Andorra.

In India, Ahmedabad emerged as the safest city, ranking 77th globally with a safety index of 68.6. A total of 12 Indian cities made it to the list, including Jaipur, Coimbatore, Chennai, Pune, and Hyderabad. Delhi, however, ranked much lower at 234.

The safety index is calculated through user surveys on Numbeo, considering public perception of crime levels, safety during day and night, and concerns over crimes like theft, assault, and vandalism.

This ranking not only reflects city-wise safety but also guides travelers and residents on where they can feel most secure in the world.
