YouTube has officially rolled out its voice replies feature to all creators on Android and iOS through the main app and Studio Mobile. The update allows creators to respond to comments using short audio messages instead of typing.
The feature was first tested in December 2024 and is now widely available. Announcing the expansion, Product Manager Lauren from Creator Insider said the wait is finally over, confirming that all creators can now use voice replies on their videos.
The move makes YouTube’s comment section more interactive and personal. Instead of writing long replies, creators can simply record their response, making engagement quicker and more expressive.
The feature is similar to TikTok’s video replies and YouTube’s own Shorts reply option. However, voice replies focus only on audio, offering a faster and simpler way to respond without recording a full video.
For creators, this could mean stronger fan connections. For viewers, it adds a more human touch to conversations.
As platforms compete for engagement, YouTube is clearly betting on voice to keep creators and audiences connected.
