The one word answer to this question is no! Plucking white hair does not promote more white hair.
Each hair grows from its own follicle, so when you pull out a white strand, only one hair can grow back in its place and it might very well be white too. In rare cases, the new hair could even come back darker or shinier than before.
The greying of hair is influenced by various factors such as aging, genetics, and even stress. So when you notice more grey hairs, it's not because of plucking; it's just part of the natural aging process.
It may feel like plucking is causing an increase in white hairs, but that's just a coincidence.
Additionally, white hairs often appear coarser than your naturally coloured strands, which can make them stand out more. This is due to a decrease in oil production around the follicles of grey hair.
So while plucking might seem like it’s making things worse, it's really just highlighting the normal changes your hair goes through over time!
